about kelly
Kelly McInnes is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist (RCST) with a diploma from internationally recognized training institute Body Intelligence. She passionately continues to deepen her understanding of the work through post graduate trainings and research including studying with Cherionna Menzam-Sills and Michael Shea, among others. Kelly is a settler of Irish, Scottish and British ancestry, gratefully based on the unceded, ancestral Coast Salish territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, also known as Vancouver, Canada.
Kelly’s quiet, sensitive and compassionate nature supports her in offering spaciousness and safety for deep healing to occur. Her ability to stay present with the underlying forces of trauma within the body and listen to health within creates potent possibility for healing integration. Kelly’s journey through traumatic childhood and birth experiences, as well as chronic health issues, has given her a personal understanding of suffering, as well as the transformational capacity of the body to move towards greater health, resilience and wholeness when supported with Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
Kelly has seen great results working with clients through their experiences of concussions, insomnia, chronic pain, post-surgery recovery, chronic dissociation & activation, exhaustion, post-natal symptoms, dizziness, hearing symptoms, chronic migraines & headaches, TMJ, physical injuries, menstrual-related symptoms, emotional stress, anxiety & depression, as well as birth & childhood trauma, among others.
Kelly also brings over a decade of training in somatic, presence and embodiment skills from her practice as a dance artist. As a lifelong sensitive empath, she finds great joy in being of service to each of her unique client’s needs, to ease suffering, support a healthy vitality and develop a more trusting, embodied relationship with self and body.
With an understanding that we live within structures and systems that continue to separate, overwhelm and traumatize, Kelly sees healing as a necessary step towards just futures for all. Integrating our past, embodying the present moment and resourcing our systems to build a restorative future is urgent work. As well as benefiting each of us on an individual level, healing has a ripple effect that makes nourishing waves through our communities. It is a gift to the world and to yourself when you commit to your healing journey. It is an honour for Kelly to offer clients professional support towards their life’s potential.
